Set against the elegant surroundings of Marriott Hotel, this wedding was a heartfelt celebration of love, family and cultural heritage. With the bride’s family travelling all the way from China to Malaysia, the occasion became more than a wedding. It was a meaningful reunion, bringing loved ones together from across the miles to witness the beginning of a new chapter.
From a traditional morning tea ceremony to a striking red cheongsam portrait session and an enchanting floral evening banquet, every chapter of the day carried its own beauty.
The Red Cheongsam | A Modern Expression of Chinese Elegance
A little tradition. A little fashion. A timeless love story.
Following the morning celebrations, we took the couple to the Marriott Hotel’s grand entrance for an intimate portrait session.
Dressed in a stunning red cheongsam, the bride embodied the beauty of traditional Chinese elegance with a contemporary touch.
Red, a colour deeply rooted in Chinese wedding traditions, symbolises happiness, prosperity and good fortune. Against the hotel’s architectural backdrop, the striking silhouette of the cheongsam created a beautiful contrast between cultural heritage and modern luxury.
For this session, we wanted something beyond conventional wedding portraits.
Our creative direction was to bring an editorial perspective to traditional Chinese wedding photography, combining architectural compositions, natural interactions and refined portraiture.
The hotel entrance became our canvas, allowing the couple’s personalities, beautiful attire and effortless chemistry to take centre stage.

CHAPTER ONE
A Morning of Traditions, Blessings & Family
Honouring our roots. Celebrating new beginnings.
The wedding morning began with one of the most meaningful traditions in Chinese culture: the tea ceremony.
Surrounded by their closest family members, the couple honoured their parents and elders through the traditional serving of tea, expressing gratitude, love and respect.
For the bride, whose family had travelled from China to Malaysia, this moment held an especially meaningful place in the celebration. Different generations, reunited across borders, gathered to share their blessings and witness a beautiful new beginning.
Between heartfelt smiles, warm embraces and precious family interactions, we documented the little moments that often become the most treasured memories. Because sometimes, the most beautiful wedding photographs are not the perfectly posed ones, but the moments when love reveals itself naturally.
CHAPTER THREE
An Enchanting Evening | A Floral Wedding Banquet
As the evening unfolded, romance took centre stage.
The celebration continued with an elegant wedding banquet at Marriott Hotel, where the atmosphere transformed into a romantic floral setting.
Beautiful flower arrangements brought softness, dimension and sophistication to the ballroom, creating an inviting atmosphere for an evening of celebration.Every floral detail contributed to the visual story, from the thoughtfully arranged decorations to the romantic ambience surrounding the couple and their guests.
The beauty of wedding styling lies in how every element comes together. Flowers, lighting, textures and the venue itself create an experience that is felt just as much as it is seen. As family members and friends gathered for the evening banquet, the celebration became a wonderful blend of heartfelt emotions, beautiful surroundings and shared happiness.
For the bride’s family, who had journeyed from China, the evening was another opportunity to celebrate together, creating memories that would travel home with them. For us as photographers, it was a pleasure to document not only the grandeur of the celebration, but also the emotions and connections that made it personal.

More Than a Wedding | Two Families, One Beautiful Story
Distance brought them together. Love made the journey worthwhile.
What made this Marriott Hotel wedding particularly meaningful was the coming together of two families across borders.
With the bride’s family travelling all the way from China, the celebration beautifully represented the importance of family, tradition and togetherness.
From the first cup of tea served in the morning to the final moments of the evening banquet, every chapter reflected the couple’s story.
A wedding is never simply about a beautiful venue, an exquisite gown or elaborate decorations. It is about the people who travel the distance, the traditions passed down through generations and the memories that remain long after the celebration ends.

As the evening unfolded, the couple raised their glasses in a heartfelt toast, surrounded by the cheers and blessings of their loved ones. The celebration continued with a beautiful cake-cutting ceremony, symbolising the sweetness of their love and the beginning of a lifetime together.
